Air Namibia est le transporteur national de la Namibie. Elle est basée à Windhoek. Elle a débuté en 1947 sous le nom de South West Air Transport. Le nom a été changé en Namib Air en 1966. Le gouvernement d'Afrique du Sud a acheté la compagnie aérienne en 1982. Le nom d'Air Namibia a été introduit en octobre 1991. En 2009, Air Namibia a lancé un programme de fidélisation. Ce programme s'appelle Reward$. Avant 2013, Air Namibia avait l'habitude d'emprunter des avions à d'autres compagnies. En 2011, Air Namibia a acheté deux nouveaux Airbus A319. Ils ont été livrés en 2013 et sont maintenant la propriété de la compagnie.
